Story of My Snowby...
I've always dreamt of having
a dog as my true friend(companion)... The first time I saw
this breed of dog, which is The Great Pyrenees, I just
fell in love with them... These big, gentle, friendly,
beautiful, "man's best friends" are what I really wanted
as my true friend... After a few years later, my dream
came true, I got a Great Pyrenees puppy as my birthday
gift from my dearest love... I was so happy and excited...
We went through all the breeders and as our last decision,
we picked this little fella from a family in
Indiana which breeds Great Pyrenees as pets, not
working or guard dogs...
I was the one who came up
with the name for my Pyrenees puppy... How?! Well, his
coat is white as snow, and he's such a baby to me... So, I
decided to name him Snowby(Snow+Baby= Snowby)...lol...
pretty cool, eh...
Snowby was born on March
3rd, 2006... We were both born in the same month (that
meant something to me as well)... He had to fly all the
way from the breeder's home which is located in
Indiana state... I was so scared at first because I
wondered if he would make it through such a long flight
for such a little puppy... After an eight hour flight,
Snowby finally arrived in the New York LaGuardia
airport... As soon as I let him out of his crate, he just
jumped right up to my lap... From that moment on, I knew
I had my very best friend who will always be by my side
whenever I need him...
He weighed about 9 lbs when
I got him, which was 7 weeks old... As of now, at six
months old he weighs almost 70 lbs... Pretty amazing
huh..! Well, thanks for the healthy food(Artemis) that I
got from the
petfooddiner.com...
Snowby's dad weighs around 140 lbs, I wonder will Snowby
overpass his dad's weight?! We'll see...!!
I'm the owner and also the
trainer of Snowby... I trained him how to sit, down,
shake-a-paw, fetch and speak... Snowby is pretty smart, he
already knew how to sit and down when he was only 3 months
old, or should I say I'm a pretty good trainer...either
way ;)
Right now, he is sleepin
under my desk... Wherever I go in the house, he'll
follow...(yeah, bathroom too)... When I sneeze, he'll come
up to me and make sure I'm ok (I guess that's the way he
says "God bless you" everytime I sneeze)...
He is my best friend, my
loyal pet, and my lovely Snowby... I'd like to thank God
for such a precious creature living with me and being
a part of my life to guide me, entertain me, and also
bring lots of joy into my life... Thanks God ;)
May every dog owner have a
precious moment with their precious friend... God bless
and peace ;)
